Meet the Owner (He’s a Pretty Cool Guy)

Don Boling’s life began on a big family farm in New Castle, IN. He was raised in the farm life of hunting, fishing, working the land, etc.). Just out of high school, Don decided to join the Army as a maintenance technician. He worked his way up the ladder for 21 years, visiting several different bases here and abroad. He has very fond memories of his time in Germany and Korea. While serving he started a family. After active duty, he completed his service with the Army Reverses in Maryland and later in Cincinnati, Ohio.

After retiring from the military Don found himself well equipped with an array of mechanical and engineering skills. He accepted employment in pipeline rehabilitation at Insituform. They are the leader of cured-in-place pipe technology. (If you’ve never heard of that or can’t imagine it, Don encourages you to Google it. It’s pretty neat.)

After his work ended there he started a franchised business for Jani-King. Don began to build rapport with several clients. Meanwhile, his wife, Patricia, had a knack for business finances. They both started to look into floor restoration and it just made sense to start their own business. His entrepreneurial spirit started to grow and Olmec Reflections floor restoration services company was born.

Olmec Reflections is now owned and operated as a family business by Don. Patricia has recently passed away sadly, but Don is progressing in her honor. He also occasionally flips houses on the side and handles the finances for the farm he grew up on. Today, all 232 acres are rented out for cash crops to farmers.

Giving Back To Local Charities

All the years growing up hunting gave him an interest in Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry. He is a proud member of the FHFH Southwest Ohio chapter. They recently donated 300+ pounds of venison to the Hope House and Breiel Church pantry in Middletown, OH. This mission work is near and dear to his heart. It’s worth a mention next time you see him!
